Pursuit Speech Pathology is owned and operated by Speech Pathologist, Kate Brown.
Kate graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science (Speech Pathology) with First Class Honours. Upon graduating, Kate was awarded the Speech Pathology Australia Award for the Most Outstanding Clinical Performance. Kate was also awarded a position on the Vice Chanecellor's List for performing within the top 1% of all students at Curtin University.
Kate is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist as recognised by Speech Pathology Australia. She is registered as a Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) Early Intervention Service Provider for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Kate has completed basic DIR/Floortime training, which can be used in the management of young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other language delays.
During her career, Kate has worked primarily in the private sector, providing services to children with a diverse range of speech and language difficulties. Kate has a particular passion for early language development and speech sound disorders, and has extensive experience working with children aged 1-6 years. She is dedicated to making a difference to the communication abilities of children to enable them to participate more fully in the world around them.
